I think we can all say that at some point in our lives we’ve been fascinated by fire. Almost hypnotised by the dancing flames of a candle. If you’ve got any fire signs in your chart (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) this transfixion will likely be increased.
Ever since I started working with the moon, energy, and feng shui, I’ve incorporated candles into my practices which is why I wanted to put some extra special candles into all of my kits. I’ve recently partnered with Charlotte at Phoenix Candle Company who has been hand-rolling spell candles in the heart of Sherwood Forest for over 15 years. I’ve selected specific colours that work best with my crystals and they’re self-standing so you don’t need to worry about having a holder.
Where to place candles in your home
Candles are a strong expression of the fire element in feng shui and add passion and warmth to a room, so are vital in any adult’s bedroom! Candles also have a purifying element so are welcome too in living areas and bathrooms.
If you’re worried about what areas of your rooms to place them in, as a rule of thumb the south, southwest, northeast, and centre are all areas that welcome a fire element. You can use the compass on your phone to work this out.
Manifesting with candles and crystals
I like using the flames of a candle as a meditation tool. Light your candle on a flat surface and simply breathe in and out while focusing on the flame.
For so many of us, meditation is hard as it means clearing your mind and finding no distractions. However, by focusing on a small movement, I find it makes it easier to stop thinking about other things.

Once you feel nice and relaxed it’s time to incorporate your crystals by setting any intentions you have. My kits are designed to aid you during specific phases of the moon or for specific intentions, so you’ll be able to incorporate your candle into your practice.
Something doesn’t feel right?
The most important thing is to always trust your intuition. There’s a reason that women, in particular, feel so connected to the moon. If you feel you need to adapt your placement or uses of the candle and crystal kits it will probably mean you need them to serve you slightly differently.
Listen to that ever-important gut instinct and it will serve you well!
