Full Moon in Virgo Practice and Journal Prompts

The full moon in Virgo is bringing us grounding and defining energy. It’s one that is here to be felt on every level, felt in a way of support, of love, of a softening energy that reminds us that we can pause. Take this as a moment to breathe; the intensity of February has calmed.

Virgo is a sign of deep healing, it is blessed with a sharp eye that can see what doesn’t fit, what doesn’t belong, what needs to be moved, what needs to be let go.

This full moon is the perfect time to reflect on yourself and your progress. Check in with yourself to see what you need to adapt. Whatever medicine our mind, body, and soul is craving is on offer to us under the energies of February’s sweet Full Moon.

Virgo is the natural medicine woman, and all of us, regardless of our sign, can tap into the healing power of nature and our own inner potential. The Virgo energies of this Full Moon remind us that our strength and inner knowing comes when we are connected to our higher self, and acting in accordance with our own inner divinity.

Full moon in Virgo energy practice

Virgo teaches us that we all have something to offer the world. This gift may be big or small, but we all have something worthy of raising the collective’s vibration. It may take years to find this gift, but it starts with sitting quietly with ourselves and receiving. We may often feel we have to do something to find our gift, like take a class, talk to a successful friend, or even hire a life coach. While there are many tools to help you develop your gift or talent, finding it comes from within. Align with the moon to sit with yourself and simply be with your energy. Feel your intuition heightened by the Full Moon showing you what you have to offer others.

After you’ve felt your gift, it’s time to give it. Often we feel vulnerable when sharing ourselves. We think we will be judged or, even worse, shamed for baring our imperfections. The first step to overcoming these feelings of vulnerability is to love ourselves fully. The following prompts will help you to start listening to how you can help yourself.

In working with the energy of Virgo and Pisces on this Full Moon, we have the opportunity to dissolve blocks that prevent us from giving our gift and aligning with our full potential. Pisces, where the Sun is located, teaches us that we are one with everything.

It’s a great time to cleanse your space, light a candle, gather your favourite crystals and write in your journal. (I say journal, just a nice notepad or if you have one or even a piece of paper and burn it afterwards!). You can get all the energy tools you need for a full moon practice or ritual in my whole moon crystal kit.

Here are some prompts you may want to use for journalling under this Virgo full moon. Feel free to free write; write the question and start writing. Don’t feel like you have to have it all figured out, just put pen to paper.

Journalling prompts for the full moon

  • Is there any part of you that doesn’t feel good enough or worthy of your visions?
  • What do you need to do to be able to accept yourself as you are right now?
  • What expectations of yourself do you need to release to flow with life more?
  • Is there any part of you that feels unlovable?
  • What shadows need attention?
  • What blocks need to be shifted?
  • What are three things you can do this week to remind yourself that you are worthy of your dreams, good enough to give your gift, and lovable in your imperfections?
  • What helps you hear, listen, and trust your intuition? How can it help you break the barriers of your logical mind?

Take your time with these questions. Spend the next week reviewing and editing them as the moon continues to wane. Receive the answers from within instead of trying to create them. Take time to acknowledge your successes.
